31 weeks

Well, it is another week closer to us meeting Kade.  Things are moving right along, but some things changed this week.

I have been nesting! I've always heard of this theory, but am seeing it in me more and more. Any dirt that is seen or any mirror that needs to be wiped down usually gets cleaned right away.  I don't feel like I look for these things. I'm sure Oscar likes it some but it probably leads to more work for him. Something else that has changed is my ability to sleep well through the night. I wake up to use the restroom and find it hard to go back to sleep. It is either my position or that my mind is racing about Kade. I did sleep well Friday night and thank goodness for that! I must have been extremely sleepy!
My stomach is getting bigger and I just can't imagine that it's going to get bigger, but it continues to surprise me. It seems like everyday I notice a change in the size of it and my body...thus no pictures!

I'm going to the doctor every two weeks and I gained another 3 pounds. I'm hoping to max out at 30 pounds total and lose at least 10 by the time I leave the hospital!  Then a half marathon in December? I hope that will give me motivation to get back in shape and lose all the baby weight.  They also let me know that I did not have gestational diabetes and once again Kade was measuring, with the tape, right where he is supposed to.  She let me know he was already upside down and called him a "good baby."  He's not even here and I already felt a sense of pride when she called him that.

This weekend was very exciting for me.  My goal was to finish the nursery...and I have! (Oscar just needs to hang the mirror). My best friend, Allison came all the way from San Antonio to help me finish and start new projects for his nursery. She is amazing!  She also made us a beautiful wreath for our front door (this is something the nester inside of me really loves)!

My goal this week is to take it easy at home and start preparing for my absence at school. I know that I have plenty of time, but I don't want to slack on my duties at school.  I even have a program at school two days before Kade is due. I really want my team members, who will be doing the program for me in my absence, to feel comfortable and prepared. I also don't want to have to do anything work related while I'm at home with him.

The kids at school are sweet and seem excited about Kade also. They ask if he's doing well, ask if they can meet him, and say his name is nice. They'll also comment on how big my stomach is getting.

Thank you to my sweet friend, Allison for your help and love for baby Kade!  I'll always have the memories of your help in his nursery!

Cant wait to get the rest of his things. 9 more weeks and counting!
